Another Big Step - LID 2/28/06

Today, we received notice from Great Wall that we are officially logged in at the CCAA, China Center of Adoption Affairs. February 28, 2006 is our official Log In Date (LID). I used to think about this special date all the time, but now that it's here, it seems like it is hitting me like a ton of bricks. THIS IS FOR REAL. I can't keep my fingers off the CAPS button!!! Can it be that within a year or so, I will really have another child to love and hold??? And Julee will actually become the big sister she so desperately needs to be??? Seriously???

I know the giant wait has just begun but these are actual days now that we can strike off the calendar! What a glorious feeling!

Now that our dossier is in the Translation Room, what next, you ask? Well, probably what comes next is the absolute worst part (for me, anyway) of this whole journey. The shots! Yes, I want this child so badly that I will willingly submit myself to a serious of shots over the next 8 months that are needed to travel internationally. And if that is not bad enough, I will actually have to watch precious Julee get them too! Oh, help me! I never even made it inside the doctor's room when she had to get all her baby shots, how am I gonna do this??? But a mom has to do what a mom has to do!
