Status updates...

There is not usually a lot to report during this waiting period between Dossier To China and Referral but everyone is always asking how things are going, which I love. So, just to keep you up to date, here are some minute details of how things are progressing.

Our dossier has moved out of the "Translation Room" and is now in the "Review Room." This is where all of our documents are scrutinized and studied for accuracy and completeness. It is possible the CCAA will contact our agency for updates and clarifications during this time. From what precious little info I receive, it appears that our dossier is not actually being reviewed currently, but is waiting to be reviewed along with the other January and February 2006 dossiers. Seems most dossiers spend about 4-6 months in this room

Meanwhile, the families with June 2005 dossiers have just received their referrals! And the time frame is creeping upwards. I wonder if it will be longer than a year from Log In Date to Referral for us??? For now, I am ok with the wait and the increased time frame. I know soon though that I will become more impatient. Already it has been 16 months since we started the paperchase for Chelsee.

I am keeping my eye on our fingerprints and the I-171-H document. Those are the only 2 things that can expire while waiting. They will both need to be redone if they reach 15 months old and 18 months old, respectively.

Our first official summer here in HH has been just wonderful! We have had some fantastic family visits and we have taken trips to NYC, Minneapolis and Charlotte. Julee is enrolled in sooo many camps and lessons and tournaments that I need an assistant. So I just have Julee read off the day's activities each morning. The system isn't working perfectly though because I just missed a doctor's appointment the other day! So not like me, must be the "brain shells" I am losing during this paper pregnancy!!

While Albee is still in Charlotte, there is a phenomenon happening down here in HH. So, if you want to see something really comical, come over some Saturday morning and watch me mow the lawn!!! It is a sight to see! The thought of it keeps Al laughing for most of the day!

Loving life while waiting on Chelsee.....dreaming about ya, sweetie!
