Our Familes with Children from China support group usually meets once a month. This month, one of the families hosted a terrific Halloween party at their house. They have a gorgeous house on Broad Creek overlooking the beautiful marshlands and they had it decorated to the hilt. Games to play, crafts to make, cookies to decorate....lots of goodies to eat! We had a great time! Each time we get together, we get to know them all better, especially the little girls. I like to chat with them and look into their eyes....then I feel Chelsee close to me!
Julee's cousin Garrett had a new classmate this year. Her name is Mary and she was adopted from China in 1997. Mary and her mom, Anne, were our special guests at this FCC get together. It was nice to be able to introduce a new family to our growing support group. Like us, Anne and Mary are new to the area, so having this group is an extra bonus for them as well. Julee and Mary have become fast friends and a spontaneous sleepover popped up!
