After languishing in the Translation Room for 2 months and then stalling in "Pending Review" mode for another 5 months, we are finally in the actual Review Room. This means our dossier is being scrutinized by the China Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA) officials for accuracy, completeness and compliance. Hopefully, all the hard work I put into assembling our dossier last year will pay off and we can breeze right through. But I have a feeling some dates and maybe a document or two will need some updating. We will see!
I am keeping my eye on the expiration dates for both the I-171-H approval and our fingerprints. Unfortunately, due to the extended wait times, they will both most likely need to be renewed in the next 6 months so they can stay current for travel to China. It will involve updates to our home study, new applications to the CIS (lots more $$$) and another trip to Charleston for the actual retaking of fingerprints. Bring it on!
It's nice to be able to see a little speck of movement foward in our long wait for Chelsee. Happy, happy!
