Christmas without you - again!

Hey sweetie. I went back and reread my notes about last Christmas and they sure seemed hopeful that we would have you with us at least by Christmas 2007! But again, we have to enjoy our 3 person family while we are dreaming of you. All 3 of us are aching for you....in some ways, it's nice to have the company cause it has been just me yearning for you all these years. Now, your dad and sister are feeling that ache for you that never seems to end.

The update from China is still bleak. China referred a dismal 3.5 months worth of families in 2007. And TPTB are predicting only 2.5 months worth for 2008. Mixing the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing into this mix surely won't speed anything up either!! As difficult as this wait has been, I am starting to feel for the families that are so far behind us. Our February 2006 LID is starting to look good to everyone out there even though we are still a year or so away from referral - if things stay as they are now.

Chelsee, may you know peaceful, happy days until we meet....and then I promise you, you will be smothered in love and hugs all the days of your life! Dad and God, please hold on to her heart til I can get to her! Maybe next Christmas, sweetie!
