Here are some updates on the happenings in our lives...
Julee and I received our flu shots this morning. Yikes! We braved the crowds and rainy winds and the weak knees but yea, we are done!! Always glad to get that past me (and so thankful they don't need a blood pressure reading beforehand)!
Next, I have been contacted by our adoption agency, Great Wall China Adoption, to let us know we need one of the old documents updated for our file. The old Post Adoption Verification Statement (PAVS) states that we have engaged our local home study agency and social worker to perform two post placement visits and reports (one at 6 months and the final one at 12 months post placement). But China must have a PAVS that states we have actually paid for these services in advance. So an email flew out to our social worker and this morning, the new form was faxed to GWCA. "Check, done" as Tricia says! If only they were all that easy! I admit that the email from my agency actually gave me chills because it means they have us on their radar now. We are next in line for our agency to receive referrals even though it is still a couple of months away!
Lastly, I would like to announce that my precious niece Laura has begun adoption proceedings to try and grow their family through domestic adoption! I could not be more proud and happy to be sharing this amazing adventure with her and her family! Lots of prayers and hugs to Laura, Todd and Hailey!!
